Waterman Patrician Fountain Pen Nib X Fine With A Bit O Flex

Description

Offered for sale is a nib for a Waterman Patrician fountain pen. The nib is an XF and has enough flex with light pressure to create a variation of line(see writing sample). The iridium is intact. This might be a good nib for a calligraphy enthusiast.
There was a hairline crack in the lower portion of the nib that reached to within 3/8” of the imprint. The crack was not affecting the writing ability of the nib but I had it laser welded and there is almost n
o
indication of the repair o
n
the face of the nib. The underside has a bit of weld marks which are inconsequential.
The last two images show before laser repair and you can clearly see the crack. The first four images are after the laser repair.
In actuality the area is likely to be completely below the section when set up with the feed
anyway but the weld has reinforced the area against further damage.
