Waterman Gold Filled Cut-Out Design Fountain Pen with Screw On Cap Waterman Nib

This is a Very Nice Antique Waterman Ideal Lever Filler Gold-Filled Fountain Pen with a Beautiful Cut-Out Design over what looks like Hard Black Rubber. With the cap screwed on the length is 3-3/4 inches long including the ring on top. Without the cap, the pen measures 3-3/8 inches long to the end of the nib.
The nib is marked WATERMAN'S IDEAL NEW YORK. There is no size or other markings on the nib that are visible.  The cap is marked WATERMAN'S.  The pen itself is marked in a few places.  Along the rim next to where the cap meets the pen, it is marked MADE IN U.S.A., the lever is marked IDEAL, the bottom of the pen is marked 0552 1/2V.  There is a place for monogramming which has not been monogrammed.
We tested the pen and nib for gold using a obsidian stone then applying 14K and 18K acid to the gold stripes on the stone; the 18K acid caused the strip to fade away and the stripe stays on the stone with the 14K acid.  The pen is not marked Gold-Filled, but it appears to be 14K gold-filled.
Condition: This pen has not been restored, however, it looks well cared for.  When cleaning the ink off the nib, it came off blue.  There are signs of wear through on the gold overlay at the top and bottom of the pen.  The lever lifts and closes fine.  The tins are in tact and the end of the nib has a slight overlap and separates easily when pressed down on my thumbnail. There are two small dents in the rim detail at the bottom one about 1/8 inch long and the other dent more like a dot.  At the top there is a tiny scratch that should buff out.
