    Description

For sale is this diminutive and marvelous 4 3/4” x 3” antique Christmas card.  It has a heavily embossed lacy cover with a purple anchor flanked by lily of the valley flowers trimmed with a bit of green color with a bit mica still visible.  The front of the card has gold opposite corners and this little card is all tied up with a plied green yarn.
.Inside is a printed Christmas message - page #1 has a small picture of a couple walking down a path from an old charming homestead with smoke seen coming out of the chimney.  The interior printed message reads:
“Greeting for a happy Christmas.  All joys abound for thee and thine, I wish this Yule for Auld Land Syne! From Mrs. Hattie Moore.”
In The Victorian era an Anchor represented
    hope and steadfastness and
Lilies of the valley a return to happiness.
This card was collected years ago by a conesssuar of antique Christmas ephemera. It would be hard to find a lovelier example.  Please see photos for further information.
