    Description

Hello! You are looking at a fully restored and ready-to-write gray Pearl and red vein Waterman's ideal fountain pen and pencil set.
Every part of both depending pencil have been completely cleaned.
    Fountain pen:
The fountain pen has been given a new sack, original section, and the lever is springy but with some corrosion on the top.
    Surface cracks:
Unfortunately because this set dates from the 1930s, there are a few cracks on this pen that I discovered upon obtaining it, which I must tell you of in the belief in transparency in all that I do.
I have professionally filled a surface crack on the lever area of the barrel as well as a small hairline cosmetic crack in the cap. The hairline crack by the lever is running towards the imprint on the pen (which is a crisp imprint). However, this crack is barely visible, and you will only very minorly feel it if your finger goes looking for it. The crack on the cap is to the left of the steel clip. It is more visible but specialty glue explicitly for this purpose which seals and fills the crack has been used. Same with the barrel crack. Due to this I definitely recommend that you not use it as a shirt clip but to post the cap to the pain instead and he will not have any further issues but using the clip is at your own risk because it might wiggle slightly from side to side.
But hey, we are all a bit cracked in one way or another over time, so these quirks add a bit of character and personal history to this high-quality-made Waterman.
Especially when you get to the Waterman's ideal nib, which is where the pen performance flows and glows.
Simply put the flex on this pen is wonderfully responsive.
The pen, which measures in at 120 mm from the tip of the nib to the end of the barrel without being posted,  writes from a fine to a broad, touching BB briefly mid flex. It is a medium-flow writer in that it is not juicy but nor is it dry. All parts of the pen are original except the new sac. It is an absolute delight to use.
    Pencil:
The matching pencil cone has a little bit of plating loss on the Chrome wash that the pen had, and it has a good length of included lead, rotates and propels and retracts freely when you use it, and comes with a couple short lengths of extra regular and red leads as well. The old razor was really disgusting so we carved it out and replaced it with a brand new number two pencil eraser and put it back into the pencil mechanism. The pictures describe this better than words.
Overall this is an absolutely wonderful, high quality pen set that you will enjoy despite its age and associated quirks from its former owner. I hope that you'll be able to use it and enjoy it, even if you or form of enjoying it takes the form of admiring it- that is also very valid.
Freebie: 5 ml vial of ink!
Thank you for looking and enjoy your day!
