    Description

The components of the Jonah Lomu series amaze with their monumental performance, and the Sixes are naturally the most monumental of all. The rim of the cast body is made in one piece with the grille frame, so the hope of mounting these heads in the regular places of the car should be abandoned. The wide corrugation of the suspension (13 mm) allows for increased travel of the rigid cellulose diffuser with a waterproof coating. In the center of the diffuser there is a hemispherical plastic cap (45 mm). The magnet here is the largest among today's classmates, with a double height its diameter is 99 mm. The voice coil diameter has also been increased to a quarter inch (32 mm). Like most midbasses, the contacts of the "spatula" are also used here, but powerful wires are pre-soldered to them, so the "spatulas" do not seem to be counted (this is the "half" that was mentioned in the introduction to the test). The diameter of the tweeter diaphragm is approximately 25 mm, but it is almost invisible under the chrome grille. The tweeter body is machined from aluminum in the form of a spherical segment. The external, also aluminum, case can be assembled both as a "cup" and as a case for surface mounting. The crossover has three iron-core coils and five capacitors, of which two are polyester and three are electrolytes. From the point of view of the electrical circuit, there are four capacitors, one of them is used in the Zobel circuit, and the crossover formula can be written as III + III. A switch (+ 3/0 / -3 dB) is used to select the tweeter level. Nominal impedance 2 ohms.
Fusion reproduces a beautiful, solid grand piano, which, however, is not devoid of high-frequency overtones. We found the female vocals a bit harsh. In male vocals, very clear articulation comes to the fore. As a whole, I liked the saxophone, although it lacks intelligent restraint. The violins lacked physical "specificity", but the sound was pleasant enough. It is clear, however, that this acoustics was not created for symphonic music. But the bass guitar played powerfully and in relief, with a good attack. The bass drum was one of the best. At the top, there was a lack of musicality, but there were no overtones on the cymbals either.
