Antique Asian Burmese Thai Colonial Indian Sterling Silver Repousse 3D Bowl .925. Shipped with USPS.
A gorgeous antique sterling silver bowl with all around repousse relief decoration. I haven’t tested the purity but it appears to be .925 or .950. There is a 100% mark on the base so I suppose it could me made from .999 fine silver. This could be Burmese or Thai, likely it’s Thai. Several have identified Thai writing on base. They often used Chinese characters/chop marks on their silver. I haven’t placed the marks yet. If you recognize them please do let me know. It is 5" in diameter and 2.5" high. The bronze lizard vessel that I used as a base in the photos is NOT included in the sale. The bowl just photographed much better if you could get all of its curves in the photo by getting it off of a flat surface.
Condition: Perfect as gas I can see. It is a vintage item and not brand new so any minor flaw you find is to be expected. I see no mentionable issues.
