PROFESSIONALLY FRAMEDSET OF 3 ANTIQUE PHOTOS
NATIVE AMERICANS IN THE OLD WEST
The top photo was taken by Roland Reed (1864-1934) in 1915 and he titled it
TRIBUTE TO THE DEAD BLACKFOOT
The middle photo was taken by David F Barry (1854-1934), titled
BURIAL TREE
"During the Battle of Little Bighorn many warriors dies. They were laid to rest in their finest clothing and most cherished possessions
within the branches of a strong tree. It was here that sorrowful families bid the warrior's spirit good bye as it began its journey across the great divide
The bottom photo was taken by Charles H. Carpenter ( ?-1947)at the St. Louis World's Fair (
Louisiana
Purchase Exposition) 1904, and he titled it
COMES OUT HOLY, SIOUX WARRIOR
All three of these photographers were among the most well known
photographers
of the old west and Native American culture
The frame is 10 3/4" Wide x 20 1/4" Tall
the exposed area of each photo is about 4" x 5"
I received this set in this condition and I have never taken the back off, so I cannot speak to the photograph paper itself.
I do know that someone had this professionally framed quite some time back
